The Local Pub - a great pick up joint

Much maligned and over looked is the local bar. A very easy way to meet some available women, is to not let yourself get totally hammered. If you have a local watering - chances are you know people who go there. This can be a great way to meet the 5 and 6's that most guys settle for.... but if you want to stand out from the crowd, you will actually have to target girls who aren't affiliate with your circle of friends.

Don't dally when making your move - they often don't stick around like you till you're to drunk to stand up. They will have a bite and a couple drinks and they are gone. If there is an open seat - ask if you can sit down. If they are standing - this is a great place to pull the cross over*.

*Cross Over - when you introduce your buddy to the girl you aren't into, and then ask what her friends name is? Works every time - plus you look like you're helping a shy friend out. Chicks love that stuff...
